Financial Contributions
The Morrison County Historical Society is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization (See here for tax exempt documents). As such, we accept and appreciate financial contributions for carrying out our mission.

Contributions to the Historical Society are tax deductible and may be sent to our mailing address (PO Box 239, Little Falls, MN 56345). An acknowledgement of any donation over $5.00 will be provided for tax purposes.

MCHS has several endowments, each dedicated to a specific aspect of ongoing operations. The MCHS Heritage Fund was established so that donations could be made in honor or memory of someone special to the donor. Income from the Heritage Fund Endowment is used for special projects and some general operating expenses.

The Carl A. Weyerhaeuser Literary Fund was established to assist MCHS with the publications it is producing in order to further the public education portion of our mission.

The LaFond Memorial Research Fund was started to help MCHS build its research resources.

MCHS has two other endowments, one designated for staff costs and the other for building expenses. If you are interested in contributing to any of our endowments, please give us a call and we'll give you the information you need to make a contribution.

MCHS undergoes an audit of our financial records every year using the services of an accounting firm that understands the requirements of a nonprofit organization.  For more information, contact us at 320-632-4007.
